Monthly Giving
It costs an average of $300 to care for a pet as it awaits adoption. Help provide consistent funding for the care of the thousands of animals by signing up for an automatic monthly credit card donation.

Planned Giving: Legacy and Estate Planning

Critter Credit Gift Cards
While we never advise giving pets as gifts, a critter gift card is a great way to allow a loved one the freedom to select their own new friend or other AHS gear.

You can show your support by helping us raise awareness about homeless pets through your own event!

Sponsor a Shelter Pet
$25-$300 Donation
From food to vaccines to spay/neuter surgery and staffing, caring for just one pet can be costly. Our costs average $295 per pet to prepare them for the adoption floor. View past sponsors and their sweet wishes now.

Spay/Neuter Day or Week Sponsorship
$3,500-$9,000 Donation
It's the perfect project for just about any group or club. Our veterinary team will spay or neuter "owned" dogs and cats at no charge on the day you designate. Or you can opt to sponsor a whole week of surgeries on our Mobile Spay/Neuter Unit. Best of all, your group’s gift will help prevent yet another unwanted litter of puppies or kittens!

Cat Casitas or Doggie Dens
$5,000 (Cat Casita) or $7,500 (Doggie Den)
You can hold an office contest or a competition among civic group chapters to raise money to sponsor a doggie den or casita in perpetuity, which includes a commemorative plaque placed near the den or casita in the name of your group or anyone you designate.

Donate a Dog Bed

Give the gift of comfort to our shelter dogs at a special discounted price. The beds are shipped directly to our shelter, so no need to worry about the details!

Get a small or large raised bed, or a comfy fleece pad to ensure sweet dreams will be had by a few more dogs in our shelter!

Donate a Thundershirt

Thundershirts are helping shelters and rescue groups across the country to manage the dogs they receive with anxiety, fear and excitement issues. Your Thundershirt Donation will be put to excellent use helping to transition one of our wonderful dogs back to a forever home.

Thundershirt’s gentle, constant pressure has a dramatic calming effect for most dogs. Like swaddling an infant, or pressure shirts used by thousands of people with autism. Thundershirt has already helped tens of thousands of dogs around the world.

Collect items from our Wish List
We're always in need of items to care for our animals and anything we can receive as a donation saves us money we can better utilize caring for the animals. Check out the items we're always looking for.

Hold a food and/or toy drive
We take in more than 45,000 animals each year...that's a lot of mouths to feed. We can never have enough pet food and toys to help us feed and care for the sick, injured, abused and homeless pets in our care.
